  anyone ever have knee surgery?

  all i did was step up my workout from an hour walk to running....i woke up i couldnt stand on my left knee/leg.

  i postponed goin to have it checked out hoping it would go away.....started hopping around on one leg and finally got it checked out.

  (canadian hospitals ..omg....unbelievalbe...checked in at 2300hrs, doctor looked at me at 10am.

  I didn't tear my cartiledge (sp?) but I hurt both of my knees really badly at the beginning of the year. They swelled up so much I could hardly wear pants and I had trouble walking, going up stairs and even standing. I went to physio for almost 3 hours a week for four months and I have just recently been given the green light to start exercising moderately again. I was pretty scared I needed surgery. They are thankfully much better but certainly not 100%.

  Have you seen a physiotherapist? Mine was amazing!

  Does Fear Rule Your Life ?

  the definition of fear in the dictionary is " a feeling of agitation and anxiety caused by the presence of imminence of danger.

  " another dictionary i have states the definition as , " an unpleasant emotion caused by exposure to danger, expectation of pain, etc.

  a state of alarm .

  Fear used to rule my life for many years. I lived my life constantly paranoid about the end coming and what would happen to me etc. I remember when 9/11 happened I thought the end was here, I didn't sleep for weeks and fear as well as guilt consumed me.

  It took many years but I can honestly say my life is 95% fear-free (of those types of things anyhow) and I have made peace with the whole thing. I'm not sure what specifically made me change, but at some point I just accepted my fate and decided to live my life now to the fullest. Of course I no longer believe in that religeon whatsoever so I don't worry about the same kinds of things that I did before.

  It feels great but I can honestly sympathize with anyone who is consumed by fear b/c that was me most of my life.

  Tattoos are they for you?

  i was standing in line at the grocery store today and looked next to me, there was a woman about 60, its been 23 degrees celsius here so.

  the capri's are out.

  anyways you notice the legs and she has about a 5in by 4in tattoo on the side of her leg.

  I like tatoos on some guys if they have the look if you know what I mean...always been a sucker for the bad boys! Gotten me into some trouble on more than one occasion...

  But I don't generally like them on women. I don't think I would ever get one. I'm not saying never, but I haven't had the inkling up until this point.

  Lots of stuff...the backstabbers, my childhood, all the restrictions, my depression, my social anxiety. Mostly that it was all for nothing b/c it isn't even real!!!

  I'm Engaged!!!

  so late last week, i decided that the time was right, and i asked my girlfried to marry me.

  i had asked her father earlier in the week for his blessing, which he gave.

  we had visited my mother (also df'd) in georgia prior to that, and mom and her hit it off.
